Absurd So pray tell if they find a problem while the a/c is enroute where does it divert to in the case of AKL-YVR?

It's bad enough that our flights to USA are often delayed due to the need to get clearance before they leave AKL but now they want to do likewise for flights to another country?

And to make it worse the checks must be completed 72 hours before departure. What about last minute travel? Is that to be outlawed? Hello iron curtain.
