Does anyone have any particular favorites they can recommend? When in the middle of a Europe trip, such as the one we are planning for May, we sometimes throw in a city, just to stay at a fun hotel. Some examples that we have really loved would be the Hotel Josef in Prague, the Klaus K in Helsinki, and the Stary in Krakow. We're thinking about going back to Helsinki to stay at the Hotel Glo or perhaps to Hamburg or Berlin to a couple of ones that look really good there. Needless to say, these are all also cities that have a lot of wonderful things to offer and are great vacation spots on their own, but for me it enhances the experience to a very large degree.

People also might have various defnitions for "boutique hotel", but for me it is a place that is either very cutting edge modern or a least very offbeat and design oriented.
