I just booked LAX-BKK and BKK-JFK in June. I decided to go with these flights instead of SQ or other carriers who offer stops for a couple reasons:
1.) I'm 6'5" and 36" of pitch is unheard of for Y (and for some Y+)
2.) The inflight service is supposed to be amazing (probably second only to SQ).
3.) The flights are 17 hours long! For those of us who love to get on a plane and just fly, it's a must do.
4.) The offer of premium economy. If you can't rough it in Y w/36" of pitch, you can either purchase Y+ (at 42"!! pitch) or wait to see if an upgrade is offered at the gate. I'm hoping for the latter on my return to JFK.
