Man, this touches a nerve
Last week in F I had to convince a FA that she was standing in my seat.
Her: standing in front of my 1st row seat
Me: excuse me
Her: go on back
Me: (forced smile) no, that's my seat
Her: [surprise, no apology]
Then today when I checked in to a hotel, the SPG desk clerk asked me "how did you get this rate?". Me: "cash and points". Her, comparing my ID with my SPG account. Ohhhh, you're FIRSTNAME, Middlename Lastname (as though she'd figured it out -- I must be using my mother's account).
Me: "yeah, see how my Amex Plat card has Initial Name Lastname? I use my middle name for most things."
Her: let me know if you need anything, dear
My clients don't care what color my hair is or if I'm wearing a geek tee instead of a suit. They want good code. How long will it take for everyone else?
Meh. Everyone else should have my problems, I know. But seriously. It gets old.
