I would have thought it is a perk of the job to be honest. I don't mind at the end of the day. Ultimately, BA can decide who to let in to their lounges. In every business, staff, quite rightly, enjoy 'special' treatment whether it is official or not -staff have to put up with low waitlist priority etc. so why they shouldn't use the lounge is beyond me.

I know the GM of a hotel in Bahrain, and I can tell you that if you know this man, when you are there, you do get special treatment.

They say in life it's not what you know but who you know -it's human nature to help out your colleagues/friends, and it's not really hurting anyone (ok maybe costs BA £10 if that, I can deal with it).
