It's a long flight

BKK to JFK/LAX and rtn are long flights. No other way to view it! But it's the fastest way from south east Asia to the Big Apple or the City of Angels (or vice versa). If you gotta get there, get there faster on TG's A345 service!

While you'll get differing views, IMHO TG does a pretty good job on these routes. Obviously Royal Silk (business class) is a very comfy flight, but there is also economy and premium econ. Food is fine... but any meal in the air loaded 18 hours earlier is going to be showing its age.

As for the seats, you either love or hate the TG business class seats (I happen to sleep like a baby in them). Pitch in econ and PE is great - the best you will find. Service on TG can range between "OK" to "outstanding".

Best thing to do is give the LA/New York Express a try. Happy flying.
