You know you are to provide ID to confirm you qualify for the rate, it's stated on your reservation. If you had the proper ID that's one thing but if you didn't I wouldn't call that harassment, I would call it an inconvenience and would be better prepared next time.
Maybe you can confirm.. what ID did you present to ensure you qualified for the rate? A business card? company issued photo ID, an introduction letter?
I don't take issue with anyone who is authorized to use the rate code. I do have an issue with people who try and use a code knowing very well they don't qualify.
