There is a new rule added for qualification of GS.If you are in the top 1% of united highest paying flyer you will qualify for UGS. This was not available 2 years ago. Also Z fare is discounted BC,therefore it will not count. However they will look at how much $$ you contributed to UA. Also I believe this year was the lowest qualification was $40-45K.FACDYB. Believe me Z fare doesn't count. last year I flew 150,000Actual and 260,000 EQM.
This year I have been flying 60,000 Actual and 101,000 EQM.
Also there a lot of new services that are added recently. Concierg on arrival on International flight with escort to connecting flights.
