While we're pointing out other options, I'll not that the new W Midtown is going to open pretty good. It is a complete refurbishment of the Sheraton Colony Square: gutted down to the beams, everything changing except the physical structure of the building. Obviously, no info on what the rooms will be like or whether it will capture the vibe other W properties have. It's a block and a half from the FS.
I was there years ago and thought it was decent hotel for a sheraton. I seem to recall it had a sort of art deco style to it. It will be interesting to see what the W people will do to it
