My first thought was, buying 10 one ways is kind of like a pass, would I put money upfront on a new outlet that might not survive. However it seems these are fully transferable to other people so it's like a corporate pass.
I think they are trying to address that concern with the trust fund managed my McCarthy Tetrault, so the airline doesn't actually get the money until you fly (or book or something).
