I've been SP for years & just missed the GP mileage for last year. I too just received an email saying I could upgrade to GP for $420. I have 3 flights to Jamaica (through Philly) coming up this year and a few other flights as well. I'm wondering if it would be worth it to pay the extra $420 and get GP. I do enjoy the first class seating on the Philly to MBJ/MBJ to Philly route....which I rec'd last year about 60% of the 5 times I flew. We seldom have the opportunity to take advantage of the club room as our connections are tight (we fly from VT).

The only upside I see is getting an upgrade a day earlier than the SP (assuming they're available).
