UAL Red Carpet vs. Air Canada Maple Leaf Club
I was traveling on Air Canada this week and took the opportunity to visit the Toronto Maple Leaf room. What a pleasure.
- Large space but broken up into little rooms so each room was quiet and peaceful.
- Some rooms were darker; others very well lit.
- Some rooms had no phones; very quiet.
- Some rooms had desk/cubicle set ups with phones and computer jacks.
- Very clean rest rooms; looked like there were showers available.
- Business center (computers, printers, fax, etc).
- Free drinks; soft drinks, beer, liquor, coffee, tea, juice all in multiple locations.
- Snacks included fresh cookies, fresh fruit, packets of almonds.
- An entertainment room with private televisions in little booths, CD players with headphones, video players with headphones, game stations (Nintendo).
- Frequently circulating staff meant the space was very clean and tidy.
I was obviously impressed and commented so to the front staff. They mentioned that they heard that a lot from United travellers.
