To maximize points from the promo I would imagine. Not entirely unlike flying from LAX-LAS via dfw.
To the original question, according to the person I spoke with on the phone, my sat-sun rental earned 5000+ points following a fri-fri and a fri-sat rental. I haven't seen any points yet for the 3, but I assume that if I was only going to get points for one, it would be the first one. Also, others have reported their receipts showing the bonuses for back-to-back rentals.
