Yes, one's PP is renewed annually as long as you hold the card on the anniversary date of your card.
Received my new PP card today but just noticed it has the same expiry date as last year's: 03/08!
My card also had the same expiry date as last year's (03/08). DC rep I spoke to last night said new cards were being mailed out. Seems to be a common problem.
