Yes.

2) does it create any problem during check in?
No, but when TSA x-rays it, they might be motivated to open your bag and look inside. You can use TSA-approved locks, but there's no guarantee they will re-lock your bag.

3) what's the probability of getting damaged? the LCD is in its original packaging plus it will be inside a Samsonite hard shell luggage.
Damaged? Probably not. Stolen? That's another question altogether.

Let me know if anybody here has any earlier experience carrying such an item as checked baggage.
I have, in the past, carried electronics of various kinds in my checked baggage, but I do it only as a last resort because of the possibility of theft. My electronics have arrived undamaged. I've also carried much more fragile non-electronic items that, when carefully packed, usually survive the trip just fine.
