Sorry for resurrecting an old thread but was also looking for accommodation in Nikko in April! Being a logical Westerner I might go for the eminently affordable ¥17,325 "no bath, only shower" guest rooms!
I am also thinking of driving to Nikko from Narita. Am I bonkers?
