UA901 left from A63 today. I came in from BLR, so I had to clear security twice, while never having left a secure area! I arrived at B, walked over to the IFL (I know, the FRA ILF sucks, but it is quiet) and had to clear the famous B to C security line where they strip search you, beat you, make you stand on your head while whistling Dixie. In most other sane airports, transiting from one INTL flight to another requires no security checks. In FRA, it takes 2 of them, 1 of which is quite thorough!
Your friendly USofA requires at least one security screening when connecting from India, so this is not FRAs fault. But it's not like the EU is any better as they will require this useless screening for every connection from a non-EU country to anywhere soon everywhere. There's not much the airports can do there. In fact they have to spend enormous amounts of money doing construction to facilitate this (e.g. the current FRA pier B construction and the MUC third arrivals level that's under construction aswell).
