Stimpy: I understand that that perception may exist and I am simply saying it's ridiculous. As you will know, our president tends to be a target more so than many others. Japan's head of state, for example, generally asks for little extra security when he travels here and our government tends to agree there is little risk. Other heads of state have asked for tight security and, if we agree with the concerns, generally provide whatever is necessary/asked for. If they don't like it, they don't come. That doesn't get reported as much because yes, we are bigger and everytime our president causes an aiport closure it's news. It's not news when a visiting head of state gets the same. Again, I think this has a lot to do with perception as our president travels more than most. I'm not ridiculing you for sharing a belief you feel many people hold, only saying that any belief that the US gets and demands whatever it wants with regard to this issue while others don't is not always the case.
