I will have to read up on the Hilton transfer idea; I am not entirely clear on what the ultimate mileage loss would be. I will look at the HH section and educate myself!

Cairns is really intriguing. Although I would need to pursue a domestic flight from Cairns to Syd, it would save significant $$$ over the US-Syd flight.
