Just had this email from Starwood:

So, according to my fag packet, my next hotel stay will be - say - US$1,000 = 6,000 points x 2 = 12,000 BAEC points for £500ish spend. Plus 750 more for paying by AmEx. I also base the $1k on three nights in a top hotel plus dinner in a two Michélin-star restaurant. Crikey. Sounds like a good deal to me... ^^
I can't see anything in the Ts&Cs that says you can't do this and double up, either.
I had thought the cost of the hotel limo transfer was a bit pricey but as it could now earn almost 1,000 points...
Hoping the Mods don't send plagues of locusts for posting this here but I reckon the SPG board are over this like a cheap suit anyway...
