After doing the route with BA twice last year in J, and then doing it with BD a few weeks ago, I can honestly say I will never do BA again on this route.

Honestly, I really want to hear the logic behind it.
Once BD start a 2 daily schedule which will be the same as BA's why not travel in way way more comfort, including far superior seats, IFE system, better service (at least from my experience it has been, which makes sense as how can BA provide a great service when most of the plane is configured to CE?).
The only disadvantage with BMI, is the lounge at LHR, but that's about it.
And that will change once the new Star Alliance lounges will open in T1.
And I agree with the above, BA will not do a damn thing about it, as long as there are enough insane people out there (sorry Smirnoff, nothing personal) that will settle for that.
