LH vs UA, A330 vs 767 or 777...

SO, I already have a business class ticket from FRA-SEA via ORD for this may. How is business class on Lufthansa on the A330? I am thinking of switching to the new flight, as there is availability. I know the seats are the not completely lieflat seats... but how comfortable are they? and other levels of service and comfort on the A330 vs a 767 or 777.

Like many other posters, have flown UA and LH both in C. Like many (most
) other posters, would take LH over UA until the new 'full flat' UA is available, though I haven't yet flown the new UA product.
Potential plusses to LH- Avoiding ORD in May - which could, just like winter, provide its share of surprises depending on weather and connections.
- Nobody's seatback is in your face on LH; legroom was, to me, no different
- AVOD is better than current UA (don't recall if UA had "Michael Clayton" before the Oscars, but LH did)
- Service is (as one poster noted) typically German, with no surprises except their beverage carts, which carry only a touch of Ginger Ale - I like bourbon & Ginger, not Jack'n'Coke
I don't form a deep bond with cabin crew on any carrier, and prefer that they don't try to do so with me, so German service suits my taste in that regard as well.
- LH 330 is 2-2-2 vs. 777 2-3-2 in C due to Airbus widebody cabin width
- Able to haul my bulk out of the seat without pulling on the seatback in front of me.
Potential minuses- Headsets...LH's darn headset outlet is deep in a recess of their new seat, and was designed so you wouldn't be tempted to unplug their Noise Cancelling (on the ear) Sennheiser's to plug in your Noise Cancelling (over the ear) Bose, but it can be done.
- Other... That's a tough one. Perhaps..."unable to kick / pull at / roughly stuff your laptop into / haul your bulk out of the seat by grasping the seatback of the idiot in front of you for reclining when you want to get up and go to the loo?"
Of course your experience may vary - enjoy C in either case! ^
