You get status recognition based on actual stays and this is done only after check-out. This means that you will not get Gold status until about 48 hours after you check-out of the hotel and you will not have it either by the reservation nor at check-in. Unless the hotel manager will do you a favor, you will not be entitled to Gold privilages at this stay.
