Thanks for your input, I guess I just figured that with the limited numbers of ICs they would have a higher standard, similar to four seasons or Shangri-Lah, I understand the Conrad situation all too well. I guess what worried me the most is that, when I asked to make sure that my status was listed on the reservation at check in, I seemed to not get any reaction at all. I wasn't expecting them to roll out the welcoming committee, but I did expect a "yes, we've upgraded you to blah", or "yes, welcome to the IC Atlanta, if there is anything out of order feel free to call us and we will straighten it out". Even at Hilton's I always get a welcome letter from the manager and half the time I get a call 30 minutes after check in from the manager to ensure that everything is to my satisfaction. I simply got a "here's your room key, the elevators are to the right". I guess maybe I didn't complain enough, it just seemed every time I brought Ambassador they seemed to say, "Yes, we understand you are Ambassador.....is there anything else?". I guess I expected them to simply have things covered a bit better, being a smaller program, with less hotels and more importantly projecting themselves as a more luxury, service oriented hotel.

I'll give them another try in the next couple of weeks. Maybe I'll stay at one of the ICs in Dubai. That will be the real test, the Hilton's there have always upgraded me to brilliant executive suites there for extremely cheap prices.

Thanks for your input.
