I've never been to the Atlanta IC.
Quality of ICs (still) does vary, so do Hilton and Shangri-La hotels. I used to stay a lot at Hiltons and Conrads (after the awful Conrad Bali I never set a foot into a Hilton property again) before I changed to IC and ICs are usually the better choice.

RA status is way better than regular Ambassador.
