I believe you meant the local partner of the hotel. Most major hotels in Vietnam are foreign owned with a local partner taking a small stake.
The IC was owned by a Malaysian company "Tradewinds" which recently sold it to another Malaysian company "Berjaya" last year. "Berjaya" also recently proposed to purchase the Sheraton, if the deal goes through both hotels will eventually have common ownership.
