In hmm hmm my younger days of listening on VHF to the communications between ATC and the cockpit of landing aircraft at GLA during exceedingly windy weather almost without fail the tower would give out wind speed and direction readings evey couple of seconds when the aircraft were on short final approach.The pilots seemed to appreciate it.
Is this what you would like to see happen all the time during very windy weather?

Now having dealt with that little anachronysm - SPOTTIE Divine. I watched the approach and I actually thought why was he attempting it in the first place. If he did not have the correct info the Tower should be severely admonished?
