Im really between a rock and a hard place. I have lots of sympathy for some selected UA staff, especially most all of the ground staff at EZE airport that are just the best. However, its getting increasingly hard to look the other way when UA's competitors (notably AA) seems far more committed to better overall service. I would love to forget AA and continue flying UA, but with all that they are cutting (routes, amenities, food, etc.) its getting harder and harder.

Yes, many UA crew and staffers are great, but its hard to compete when you are not give the tools to do so. The food in international C is a disaster. Ive done 3 EZE flights out of JFK in the last 2 months and what the FA's have to work with is deplorable. I had an excellent FA apologize profusely for what the early seating meal had to offer, and then he proceeded to bring me a filet mignon from the F galley. Thats superior service (he did it for me since Im a 1K, he later told me), but after a long and interesting discussion with him I realized that even the most loyal workers at UA feel like the company is not committed to excelence, but merely to survival.

On a side note, Ive even noticed that UA's must be cutting on cleaning expenses on their aircraft, the last two 767 trips I took were on the same seat and I can assure you the same stains and crumbs were in the same places...
