Last minute trip so only B and Y fares available so I made sure Z was available and booked Z confirmed to Europe and back. The BE seat is really only important to me on the leg to Europe so I can get a little sleep.

Based on what I have read here I plan to surrender only 1 PMU upon checking in in the US.

What are the consequences if I order a special meal for the return (BE) and decide not to surrender the PMU and take a seat in coach on the return?

Would I still receive the special meal? Anyone ever do this?

Basically it comes down to how useful I think my remaining PMUs will be.
