Ah-So cork pullers with rounded tips. Those should be allowable, no?

Yes, but those cork-pullers require a bit more skill to be used. If you're not careful, the cork end up being forced into the bottle. Some higher-end restaurants and bars prefer it because you get the cork out undamanged.
