I was told I can not leave the hotel before I sign and pay. Maybe I should have stood up and tried to walk out - As I was pressed for time, I did not want to challenge to find out what the outcome might be - if they would call police or anything else - as my arabic is limited given the country I was in - I assumed I would be in a weaker position to discuss my position.
