I guess this is a great shot in the arm for NZ tourism (and a shot in the a$$ for Aussie companies who will lose $$). As quoted above, it will hopefully mean some competitive sales ex-SYD.
The extra seats bought on by the A380 are likely to place pressure on airfares. It will mean the number of seats on the route will grow around 45,000 a year.
This could also help Emirates' Aussie tourism venture.
Is there a similar 'farm / lodge' resort planned in NZ or already operating?
