The only thing I can think of, "legally," is a Chase offer; whether it be a debit card or Mastercard offer that usually gives a percentage off. However, a quick search showed decent fares out of the NY metro area to the Los Angeles area. EWR-LAX was $318 plus tax, however if you are willing to go into SNA out of LGA or JFK it's only $258. That's not terrible for transcon right now.

Just crossed my mind. I'm not sure of your elite status, but your EUA chance's are better out of LGA or JFK connecting in IAH or CLE anyway.
