If so, I think they pretty much fuse TECS (Treasury Enforcement Communication System) data, such as that obtained by APIS (Advance Passenger Information System) with various international airlines PNR data formats, along with data from their seizure and watch lists. Then, as I understand the ATS, a rules-based risk-assessment is generated and assigned.
I dont know the name of the system but that sounds like the system I'm aware of.
