The joint venture between KLM and Northwest Airlines will be expanding its North Atlantic route network with the addition of new daily nonstop services from Amsterdam to Portland and Dallas. Scheduled to begin March 30, 2008, Northwest’s nonstop Amsterdam-Portland and Amsterdam-Dallas services will be operated with an Airbus A330-200 aircraft. Northwest’s Amsterdam-Portland service will also provide convenient connections for customers traveling beyond Portland with partner airlines Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air.

KLM will also be launching direct flights from Amsterdam-Schiphol to Panama City Tocumen Airport. From March 30, 2008, KLM will operate thrice-weekly nonstop service between Amsterdam and this Central American destination. The new service will be operated using MD-11 equipment offering a total of 294 seats: 24 in World Business Class and 270 in Economy Class. With Panama City KLM will expand the total number of destinations in its intercontinental network to 62.

These three new connections can bring Flying Blue members double miles for flights in Economy Class and even triple miles in Business Class until June 30, 2008.

With the addition of five weekly services to Muscat (Oman) already effective since December 3, KLM does further strengthen its position in the Middle East. This new connection can also bring Flying Blue members double miles for flight in Economy Class and even triple miles in Business Class until 31. March 2008.
