I used to go to New York regularly for an elongated weekend, but my most recent trip was the last straw.

Horrendous immigration queues, high hotel prices and, for a city that supposedly never sleeps, stultifyingly dull nightlife, and other reasons mean I shall probably give leisure trips to New York a wide berth for a few years.
