Question re. IFL and Arrivals access
Hi, myself and Mrs Neil777 are heading to New Zealand in mid March. Here's what we both have:
Mrs Neil777 has award seats in - IADLAX XY on UA; LAXSYD XF on UA; SYDAKL XC on NZ
I purchased a ticket with H fares for same itinerary, waitlised for upgrades with miles but no upgrades have cleared yet.
My question is about IFL and Arrivals access.
I am 1P/*G and thus have lounge access through my status the whole way for the RCC, Air New Zealand club.
But my question is about access for MrsNeil777 and I to the IFL and Arrivals. Am I correct that even though she is on an F award ticket she should be able to access IFL in LAX? Will I be able to join her as a guest? What about at IAD? Because she has coach seat IADLAX, we cant do the IFL there, right? What if she is able to get an XC or XF seat on the IADLAX flight before we leave? Would she/I then be able to access IFL in IAD too?
Also, on arrival in SYD, is there an Arrivals service/access to shower, etc. that MrsNeil777 can get because she is in first? Are there rules about companions also accessing arrivals by united service? If that doesn't work, are there shower rooms in the NZ lounge there or another *g lounge?
Thanks
