Avion Better?

If you travel FIRST or BUSINESS then Avion is still the BETTER card. 150,000 points FIRST CLASS with British Airways to Europe from Vancouver or LA is about a $10,000 to $14,000 ticket.

2% reward program on spending the 150,000 is a $3,000 ticket? Correct?

There is then no comparison. Why would anyone take anything else other than AVION if they are traveling at the front of the plane. For those wanting to fly economy, I can understand the 1% or 2% deal, it might make sense - no restrictions etc...

If you take into account the bonus program that British Airways and Avion have had for the last 4-5 years?, the spread even gets better.

My hope is that this Infinite Card will offer the choice of programs, Avion or the 2% program, being given the choices of which program you wish to participate in would be an ELITE card.

I have the Infinite visa card on order, but am keeping all my Avion cards just in case the Infinite Card is less than spectacular.

We will see, if Infinite is worth the 399.00

It's basically better to think of it as 2% cash back card that can only be spent on travel. And at least there is no limit on your points collection each year; I know someone with an Avion right now that generates tens of millions of points per year.

Also, a little more info: if you sign up for this card in the first three months then you can get extra cards (wife, child, etc) with only $100 annual fee instead of $150.
