Contact them and give it a shot. Generally if a schedule change causes you to arrive significantly earlier or later than originally scheduled, or violate MCT, NW will rebook you without cost. I've done it a few times on paid tix, but never award - that said, it shouldn't matter, as you now basically hold a reservation which violates their rules. They should reaccommodate you.
