I use an HP TX12xx series (12.1" screen, but I recommend changing the Desktop DPI setting from 95, to 120 -- slightly larger text size).

At any rate it claims to offer the viewable content of a
15.4" screen and it does deliver.
Newer models have 2GB ram.

Very light and sleek, I would change nothing. Battery life is 2hrs but that is typical for the size of battery. With this one, small size/weight is its strength. Has a fingerprint reader and built-in web cam and mic; and a DVD writer. Speakers (Lansing) are very good for their size, use the controls to overboost the sound a bit (add reverb and effects) to enrich the sound.
2 outlets for headphones so 2 people could listen to a DVD during a flight

Here is lastest model at Best Buy

The HP Pavilion TX1418CA notebook has changed that. Inside this extremely compact machine is an AMD Dual-Core processor, 2GB of memory, a 12.1" swivelling touchscreen display, and a host of other cool features that make it easier to get work done on the go
