Finally, is it worth it (for 1 adult + 1 child) to upgrade to a bedroom? How about for 3 people (I'd assume so)?

Thanks
An AGR award for a sleeper is for either 1 or 2 pax!

So looking at it another way:

A coach award for 1 pax is 5,500 points,
A coach award for 2 pax is 11,000 points,
but a roomette award for 2 pax is 15,000 points!

An AGR award is good for all pax in the room up to the stated capacity for the type of room! (I know a roomette is rated for 2, but I think a bedroom is rated for 3 max - but I would not want to try sleeping 3 full size adults into the 2 beds!)

The 1 zone award is for the entire trip within that zone! So ALB-ORL would cost the same as BOS-TPA or WAS-ATL. IT is not per segment or per train.
