I had a buddy of mine travelling IAD-LHR on UA then LHR to Dubai on Emirates.

I incorrectly told him that he should get access to the *A lounges (he's a 1P) upon his arrival in LHR since they leave out of the same terminal.

The poor guy went to three clubs.. as many of you know, it's only on departing *A flights. And I was pretty sure the UA Web site said a "same-day" *A ticket ... those technically I guess his ticket was from the night before because of the overnight flight. In any case, he said the agents were so nice and polite in explaining why he couldn't get in that he wasn't too disappointed (are you reading this dragons at the IAD RCC?).

Anyway, the interesting part is that the SAS lounge agent told him that, "This is all going to change when we move to Terminal 1 and there's a single *A lounge." I hope they make it a good one.
