The in-laws are currently looking to fly LA to Barcelona in June.

They don't want to clear customs and re-check bags etc. I am assuming that both the LAX and Barcelona flights will be moved to T5 by then and that flying will be, bar far, the most convenient way of doing it... Bags checked all the way through (and hopefully not lost!), no need to change terminals and nice new T5 lounges (they will be flying First or Club)...

Husband has been trying to sell VS to the MIL (traitor! ), but I think that this will be a lot more hassle. They would certainly have to change terminals (through the FCC) and I assume that they would have to claim and recheck their bags? OR, do BA and VS have a baggage interlining agreement?
