The debate between Briggs and Riley and TravelPro actually has been discussed pretty frequently in the past. A search should bring up some relevant threads.

I used to be a TravelPro guy and purchased two rollerboards, a small tote, along with a rolling tote. About two years ago, I switched over to Briggs and never looked back. Purchased a 20" superlight rollerboard and it's been a match made in heaven. One thing I appreciate that Briggs does over Travelpro is that Briggs fixes your luggage for you even if the airline damages it. I justify the extra cost of Briggs in that I can always (knock on wood) rely on its "Simple as That" warranty.

I'd be more than happy to donate my Travelpro rollerboard to you. Awhile back an airline worker (I'm thinking the skycap) took a screw driver and punched holes through the front pocket (probably because he was a jerk and I tipped him minimally). Travelpro won't fix this, but Briggs would.

I also just got from eBags the Briggs @Work Organized Computer Brief. Pretty good stuff. Much roomier than the similar Case Logic I had from before and it looks like the computer protection is better.

If I were you, I'd just buy both the TravelPro and Briggs off eBags (with free shipping), do a Google Shopping search for both of them, request price matches, then have both side by side in my living room for a few days and send one back (free returns). Much easier than having to go to the store to purchase.
