Just wanted to toss in another consideration... keyboard set up.
I use a Dell for work and I think the keys are fairly logically set up compared to a standard keyboard. However, I picked up a Toshiba and the keyboard set up was really messing me up. In particular, the ctrl and alt keys weren't on both sides of the keyboard and the Insert/Delete/Home/End/PageUp/PageDown were not in a standard formation (located vertically instead of a 3x2 format).

It might not seem like much but personally, I don't think I'd get a laptop again with a quirky keyboard config.
