The FCT (First Class Terminal) is the reason I go for LH's F, but I do prefer UA's old F over LH's old F. I think UA updated their F product later than Lufthansa.

think UA's "old" F suite came out after LH did their current F. LH has had their current F seats for a long time.
Just goes to show how much great service can make up for a sub-standard hard product.
If UA had the LH F terminal, limousine transfers to the actual plane and the in-flight F soft product and consistent service that LH F has... I'd probably be OK with folding chairs.
