We all know the reality: what happens to your food at the screening is rather arbitrary and largely at the whim of the screener. Certainly I've seen yogurt confiscated (yes, I will use that term, thank you). Is it a liquid or a gel? Your chicken salad sandwich may be a bit more solid, but could still be taken from you. It probably won't be, but there is no guarantee and you really can't do much about it, can you? Can't complain, there are no complaint forms to be found. Can't argue, they may subject you to a retaliatory secondary or at least slow your progress to the gate significantly.
