Thanks TIMP.The plan was a quick look round Port Arthur rather than a long stay.

An update on accommodation is that Zero Davey could give us a 2 bedroom apartment overlooking water for the 4 nights from 17 October for 370 ASD per night.

I have also looked at 2 rooms in slightly further out Gattonside Heritage on basis we can always take taxis down to main harbour area and it does look nice on website. http://gattonside.com.au/

For Freycinet I was not that taken with look/comments about lodge so am looking at Old Tram bed and breakfast in Bicheno which looks nice http://www.oldtramroad.com.au/introduction.htm

In Cradle mountain probably lodge is best bet and they have either pencil or spa cabins available
