Okay I find myself in the middle of this really weird missing person conspiracy mystery thing now and I’d really like some advice.

On december 31 I found a thumb drive in an envelope on the Flushing line of the NYC subway.. on the envelope was written the word ‘Weavers’ and on the stick itself a whole load of documents and images and journal type stuff…. some of it real personal (which I tried not to read, honest!!) lots of it stuff i didn’t understand about weavers and cathars and a bunch of crazy-sounding stuff…

so not really knowing what to do I set up a blog to try and find the owner of the stick.. I also put it on craigslist and gumtree and all over the place… I figured they’d be looking for it and it was only a matter of time before they found the blog and I could hand over the stick and claim my reward!... but this was like nearly two months ago and I was getting nowhere…so then what happens is I find this british guy on the internet whose really into this weavers thing and he’s real excited about the thumb drive and he tells me that the guy who owns the thing has disappeared……

so now its all getting just a little weird and as far as I can tell I have these options…

a) forget the whole thing and toss the thumb drive in the trash
b) go to the NYPD and tell them this crazyass story about some guy being “disappeared” by a 12th century french religious sect (this is what this british guy believes!)
c) keep trying to find Darius Lockwood myself (this is the guy who I think lost the thumb drive in the first place)
d) ….there is no d… that’s it… i'm all out of ideas!!!

which is kinda where I hope you guys come in.. any ideas?
