We usually start by putting a set amount into a kitty and that money is used for groceries and eatting out.
We also have one person in charge of the kitty. If we have money left over, we split it up. Usually works for us.
...but I was beaten too it. I do 2 trips a year with the same bunch of guys and we just chuck in $50-100 at the start of each day, and our most anal retentive friend is in charge....no worries!^
